If you want to do something about climate change, become a vegan. It will save the planet, because vegans are fourteen times less resource intensive than omnivores. It will also reduce your medical bills substantially and improve your quality of life. However, mixing sustainability and climate change into discussion of energy retrofitting just muddies up the issues. It can all be quantified, and then it boils down to financial decision making.
